About Dr. SheaLynne A. Baus

Welcome to the practice of Dr. SheaLynne A. Baus, a licensed clinical psychologist providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy and psychological assessment for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. With more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Baus specializes in helping individuals navigate emotional, behavioral, academic, and cognitive challenges through personalized, collaborative care.

Dr. Baus earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychology from Xavier University in 2001. Throughout her career, she has worked in both private practice and medical settings, providing comprehensive psychological evaluation and treatment for concerns including anxiety, ADHD, sport and executive performance, depression, stress management, behavioral difficulties, emotional regulation, learning challenges, and adjustment issues.

In addition to traditional psychotherapy, Dr. Baus is certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy and is trained in HRV biofeedback techniques. These evidenced based approaches help clients strengthen emotional resilience, improve stress management, enhance focus, and support overall emotional wellness and performance.

Dr. Baus works with patients across the lifespan but has a particular passion for supporting children, adolescents, and young adults. She understands the unique developmental, academic, social, and emotional pressures faced by today's youth and partners closely with families to help young people build confidence, coping skills, insight, and resilience.

Approach to Treatment

Dr. Baus believes therapy should be a supportive and empowering process that helps individuals rediscover strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change. Her treatment approach integrates evidenced-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, behavioral interventions, and mind-body approaches to promote emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being. Dr. Baus helps her patients develop practical coping skills, improve emotional wellness, and build confidence in their ability to navigate everyday challenges. Her collaborative and individualized approach focuses on strengthening resilience, improving self-awareness, and promoting healthy emotional and behavioral functioning.

Dr. Baus has extensive experience working with children, teens, and families. She partners closely with parents to provide guidance, education, and effective strategies that support emotional development, behavioral health, academic success, and family well-being. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual's unique strengths, goals, and developmental needs.

In addition to traditional psychotherapy, Dr. Baus incorporates evidence-based mind-body techniques, including clinical hypnotherapy and biofeedback, to support stress reduction, emotional balance, focus, and overall psychological wellness.

A Comfortable and Supportive Therapy Environment
